I would try my best to:
- hold the Qur'an in the highest esteem, always trying my best to deliberate on its verses and improve my understanding of its directives.
- determine right and wrong, in matters of religion, in the light of my understanding of the Qur'an.
- take my decisions and mold my life in the light of my understanding of its directives.
- help people understand the importance of, connect with, and deliberate on the Qur'an to the best of my abilities.
- give my sincerest effort in improving myself, becoming a better human being, and living a mindful and conscientious life. I will try my utmost to be conscious that every moment I am allowed to live is solely on the authority and permission of God and must be used to become better in His sight.
- every time I recite Bismillah before eating or starting a task, I will try to remember that whatever I am about to do is solely on the authority of God and, therefore, must be in keeping with His liking.
May the Almighty be my support.
The guidance to my life is that it is beacon of light for me that no matter how many mistakes I make in my life, If i ask forgiveness sincerely God will forgive me. There is no need for me to be despondent His mercy is always there it is infinite and non ending till Qiyamat one can ask forgiveness even on your death bed. He is merciful and all
forgiving. He will accept your taubas as long as you are sincere and you learn from your mistakes and not keep repeating them. Like a child who is learning to walk, keeps falling, gets up again, again falls then he stands up straight. Human beings will make mistakes and God will forgive them.
This is the reminder for you, those who have seen Me, sensed Me, have seen the evidence of truth in your observations that (He) is the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful that if you abide by the code presented in the Surahs to follow then you will achieve salvation.
یWhat guidance do I get from this ayah? Even though the following thoughts are not always in my mind when I recite the Bismilla (I wish I did) but this is the meaning I get from this verse.
I recognize that there is a higher authority in control of everything, including me, and that nothing can happen without its permission. That entity is all-powerful and observes every aspect of my life. I can breathe, move, walk, think, eat, and drink because He gave me these abilities. I did not develop any of these abilities on my own, nor were they bestowed upon me because of my outstanding performance. These, and countless other blessings, come solely from the almighty who is extremely merciful, kind, and always looks after me. As a result, I must seek His permission and act solely under His authority. I also recognize that if I make a mistake, my Creator will be merciful to me and lead me down the right path because His mercy is eternal. I am nothing without His mercy, and no action of mine has any value or worth without His approval.
